- A soccer star has bought a residence in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
- Messi is increasing his footprint in the region following his deal with Inter Miami.
Lionel Messi is purchasing a luxurious waterfront mansion in a South Florida suburb for nearly $10.8 million, following a lucrative contract that brought the soccer superstar to the United States.
Room Detail
This purchase was made possible through a company linked to Alfonso Nebot Armisen, the manager of Messi’s investments, as per public records. The splendid residence in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, boasts 10,500 square feet of space, comprising 8 bedrooms, a three-car garage, and a refreshing pool. Notably, this property changed ownership for $9 million in May 2022. The mansion’s location is exceptionally convenient, being only a 15-minute drive from the DRV PNK Stadium (pronounced “Drive Pink”), where Messi’s team, Inter Miami, currently competes. Messi’s arrival at Inter Miami earlier this year marked a significant milestone in American soccer, as he turned down an offer from Saudi Arabia. The Argentine superstar has already made his mark by leading Inter Miami to victory in the Leagues Cup, attracting new sponsors, and selling out games in a matter of minutes.
Representing the Messi family in this transaction were Samuel and Donna Simpkin at Compass Florida, with The Real Deal being the first to report on it.
As of now, there has been no response from a representative of Inter Miami regarding inquiries.
It’s worth noting that Messi also owns other properties in the Miami area, including a $7.3 million full-floor condo in Sunny Isles Beach.
The Property Tax
The property tax for the new house Messi has purchased is not insignificant. According to Forbes’ report, the property tax for this residence amounts to 70 lakh rupees.
